One of the things I was looking forward to most about my return to the Free Lance-Star was covering high school football again. I’m particularly glad my first game back was at Louisa which is home to a fire-breathing lion.

I’ll post an actual photo later but things seem to be working

My spot for the eclipse, Chancellorsville Battlefield, Spotsylvania Va

Kim Wyman of Spotsylvania joined more than 60 demonstrators gather at the intersection of the Blue and Gray Parkway and William Street in Fredericksburg, Va. on Aug. 13, 2017 to protest against hate and racism in the wake of violence in Charlottesville. (Mike Morones/The Free Lance-Star)

I was excited to find out this morning that a photo I took of John Kelly when I was on staff @militarytimes made the cover of @time this week. Not a bad way to kick off a Thursday!

While scouting locations for the eclipse, i came across this hummingbird moth hunting for nectar.

Wow – what a show!

Rage side!
